As the daughter of Ethiopian immigrants, my passion for journalism comes from growing up between two worlds: one often misunderstood, and one that rarely tells the stories of my community. I’m driven to report with heart and intention, especially when it comes to less privileged countries like my own whose voices are silenced.

 

I’m a journalism and public relations student at Loyola Marymount University, but I also have a deep love for entertainment and all things music.

 

My twin sister and I produce weekly episodes for our podcast called "Double Take,” which was awarded second place for Broadcast Commentary by the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP). You can watch our episodes on YouTube and Spotify!
